ISABEL BORNSTEIN BIOGRAPHY
Isabel Bornstein was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1988. She received her secondary education from St. Andrews Scots School and the Waldorf Rudolf Steiner School. During her studies, she cultivated a learning style focused on imagination and creativity.
After completing her secondary education, Bornstein traveled to Berlin, Germany. During this time, she became captivated by the city’s dynamic art scene and creative energy. Following her return to Argentina, she continued her education at the esteemed Universidad De Palermo, where she studied art and creative writing.
Bornstein’s passion for art and design was further nurtured by her upbringing. Her mother is a painter, illustrator, and graphic designer, while her father owns an antique shop and art gallery in Buenos Aires. Bornstein was able to work at her father’s gallery and regularly attend museums and auction houses, thus deepening her appreciation for the arts.
Bornstein settled in Charleston, SC, in 2011. In 2020, Bornstein took an assistant role working at the George Gallery. This experience confirmed her desire to pursue art full- time. She secured a studio in Charleston, where she has been devoted to creating her paintings.
Since dedicating herself to art full-time, Bornstein has exhibited her work in Charleston. In 2021, she presented her “Seefood Series” at The George Gallery and had a solo show titled “Sun Show” at Hedhi Studio in 2022. Bornstein started working with JSL Gallery in Miami in October of 2023 and participated in their group show “Endless Summer” in November 2023.
